Individual Scores From India Capitals

Captain Gautam Gambhir (9) was cheaply outclassed, along with Dwayne Smith (3), Hamilton Masakadza (1), and Denesh Ramdin (0), thanks to some tight bowling from Rahul Sharma (30-4) and Monty Panesar (13-2).

With his second consecutive fifty, Taylor, who played 41 balls and blasted four fours and eight sixes, gave the Capitals’ innings new life. Taylor played a knock of 84 runs against the same opposition earlier on October 2 in Jodhpur. Taylor’s fifty was his third in this league. Johnson also reached his first fifty-seven in this league at the same time. In his 35-ball knock, Johnson hammered seven fours and three sixes.

For the fifth wicket, Taylor and Johnson collaborated on a 126-run partnership. Following Johnson’s departure, Taylor and Ashley Nurse worked together again in an important capacity. Meanwhile, Rahul grabbed Taylor’s wicket after being inserted into the attack by captain Irfan Pathan. Liam Plunkett (batting 0), who was dismissed by Rahul in his fourth over, became his fourth victim. However, Nurse helped the Capitals surpass the 200-run threshold with the help of six fours and a six in only 16 balls.

The Kings lost the wickets of Morne Van Wyk (5), William Porterfield (12), and Yusuf Pathan (6) for a combined 44 runs while attempting to chase a challenging score. Shane Watson put up some resistance and formed a modest partnership with Jesal Karia (27 runs, 19 balls, 3 fours, 1 six) (22 runs, 17 balls, 3 fours, 1 six). Watson was joined in the centre by Captain Irfan (2), but Watson was forced out owing to a misunderstanding, putting his team in a hopeless situation. When the score read 81 and the Bhilwara Kings’ full inning was eventually over for 107, Irfan also joined his colleagues in the dugout. For the Capitals, Pawan Suyal, Praveen Tambe, and Pankaj Singh each secured two wickets, while Johnson and Plunkett each secured one.
