LeBron James Deletes His Tweet That Promised His Return To The NBA Playoffs After It Goes Viral On Twitter

After realizing that his prediction probably won’t come true, LeBron James deletes his viral tweet

Now, it feels like he doesn’t seem to have faith in the ability of his current Lakers team to rack up enough victories to make the playoffs.

LeBron James Deletes His Tweet That Promised His Return To The NBA Playoffs As It Goes Viral On Twitter

Before, LeBron assured fans to play playoffs in every season.

LeBron James stated that he will never again miss the playoffs in April. In the present day, that tweet is no longer accessible. Given that his team’s record this season is 14-20, good for 13th place in the Western Conference, the forecast was removed.

“I can/will NOT miss the postseason again for my career! This s–t HURT,” he tweeted at that moment. After winning the NBA Finals just two years prior, the Lakers missed the playoffs last year. They missed the playoffs in James’ first season with LA and lost to the Phoenix Suns in the opening round of the 2021 playoffs.

LeBron James has had an incredible season so far.

In the regular season last year, LeBron James finished with an average of over 30 points per game, and he is off to a similar start this year. Averaging 27.8 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 6.6 assists per game in his 20th season, James has had a great year. The Lakers still lost 5 matches out of the last six matches despite his great individual performances and the Lakers are still 14-20. How that can be?

To be fair, the team hasn’t been able to reach LeBron’s level, or at least not all of the players have. However, people like Anthony Davis, Russell Westbrook, or Austin Reaves should at least be mentioned for their efforts throughout particular parts of the season. No matter what, James and the backing he has so far gotten are not enough to elevate the squad to the level of a playoff contender.

Given that Anthony Davis, one of the key members of the squad, is also out with a stress fracture in his foot from earlier this month, the lakers’ future is not as favourable as it might first appear. He’s out indefinitely.
