The news is indeed very exciting for Liverpool fans especially considering the grim moment they are in. Fans should take a good look at the leaked kit as it could very well be the kit in which the Reds win their next silverware under Klopp.
A Throwback To 1990s Liverpool Kits
The leaked Liverpool home kits for 2022/2023 season show certain similarities with the current Liverpool home shirt. Nike have kept the iconic “gym red” and “white” under the Nike Dri-Fit ADV template.
While the design is certainly a throwback to the classic Reebok jersey that Liverpool wore between 1998 and 2000. The leaked kits sport the same white crew neck and cuffs incorporation.
Interestingly, the iconic 1990s kits, most notably worn by the likes of Michael Owen, Robbie Fowler and a young Steven Gerrard were itself based on the classic designs from the 1960s and 1970s.
Nike have definitely done a good job once again, by deciding not to go overboard in designing the iconic home kit. If the leaks are indeed true, fans definitely have something to look forward to for the upcoming 2023/2024 season irrespective of their current standings.
