Thanks to this goal, Inter Miami secured 2-1 victory over Cruz Azul in their Leagues Cup opening tie. Notably, Inter Miami are placed in South 3 group alongside Atlanta United and Cruz Azul. On 26th July, Inter Miami will face-off against Atlanta knowing even a draw will allow them to book their place in the next-round.
On Saturday, Real Salt Lake emerged victorious by score of 3-0 against Seattle Sounders to begin their campaign on high note.
