All you need to know about Laver Cup tennis 2022, it’s the schedule, dates, teams and the broadcasting details
This year’s Laver Cup is going to be special for one of the biggest reasons and that is, it is going to be Roger Federer’s last official tennis tournament, unfortunately. Another is that the Big Four namely, Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray will be seen as teammates on Team Europe.

The tournament has its name in honour of the renowned Australian tennis player Rod Laver. The Laver Cup was developed in partnership with Tennis Australia, Roger Federer’s management group, TEAM8, and former Davis Cup rival and businessman Jorge Paulo Lemann.
A star-studded lineup of contenders will face off in the 2022 edition. For the illustrious European team, Federer, Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, Andy Murray, Casper Ruud, and Stefanos Tsitsipas will compete. On the other end of the spectrum, the World XI will be represented by Taylor Fritz, Félix Auger-Aliassime, Diego Schwartzman, Frances Tiafoe, Alex de Minaur, and Jack Sock. Bjorn Borg is the World XI’s captain, while John McEnroe is the non-playing captain of Team Europe. The four competitions have so far all been won by Team Europe.

Format
Over the three days, a total of 12 matches are played. Every victory in a match earns a point on Day 1, two points on Day 2, and three points on Day 3. At least one or two singles matches feature six players, while four players are expected to compete in the doubles competition. Each match is the best of three sets, with the third set being decided by a 10-point tie-break if it is knotted (6-6).

The competition will commence from September 23 until September 25. (Friday-Sunday).

The O2 Arena in London will host the 2022 Laver Cup. The arena can hold up to 20,000 fans for the largest concerts and sporting events around the globe.

Team Europe vs Team World Prediction And Odds
The Europeans have a perfect record, which is not surprising given that the majority of the ATP Top 10 players are from this region. A Top 10 player has only once represented Team World in the Laver Cup’s five-year history.
Taylor Fritz, who is presently ranked 12th in the world, is Team World’s highest-ranked player in 2022, although it occurred four years earlier. In contrast, Team Europe features two genuine sports legends and four ATP Top 10 players.
It comes as no surprise that the bookmakers prefer Bjorn Borg’s boys given the strength of Team Europe.

2022 Prize Money And Points Distribution
Each member of the winning team receives $250,000 in prize money in addition to guaranteed participation fees based on the players’ ATP rankings, but the competition itself does not contribute to the participants’ ATP Tour point totals for that year.
Each match win is worth one point on Friday, two points on Saturday, and three points on Sunday.
