The unfortunate news of the singer-songwriter’s demise was confirmed by his family.
Lamont Dozier was part of the celebrated team named Holland-Dozier-Holland that produced many singles hits like ‘You Can’t Hurry Love’, ‘Heat Wave’ and many others.
These singles made the record company Motown go big in the 1960s. The tragic news of the singer’s death came months after the legendary actor and comedian Louie Anderson died in January.

Cause of Lamont Dozier Death?
Lamont Dozier aka Lamont Herbert Dozier was born in June 1941 in Detroit, Michigan. He alongside Brian and Eddie Holland i.e, his team Holland-Dozier-Holland was inducted into Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1990.
Dozier was married three times and his first two marriages, to Ann Brown and Daphne Dumas, ended in divorce. His third marriage, to Barbara Ullman, lasted from 1980 until her death in 2021 and they had three children and he had three children from his previous relationships. His net worth stood at $8 million.
Dozier was shot to fame for co-writing and producing 14 songs that topped the US Billboard Chart.
Speaking of the Singer’s death, his son Lamont Dozier Junior took to his social media account and shared a heartfelt message.
Lamont Jr. penned down a message on his Instagram by sharing a picture with his father. He wrote, “Rest in Heavenly Peace, Dad!” adding a heartbreak, folded hands, and a sad face emoji in the end.
Though the cause of Lamont Dozier’s death is not yet revealed by the family.
After learning the news of the singer’s death, record company Motown paid their tributes to the iconic singer-songwriter.
Aside from being a Singer-songwriter, Lamont Dozier was also the founder and owner of Invictus Records and Hot Wax Records.
