With Ganeshotsav 2024 drawing near, Mumbai’s most famous Ganesh idol, Lalbaugcha Raja, is getting ready with the darshan date and time now out
On July 2, 2024, at Lalbaug Market, the Lalbaugcha Raja Sarvjanik Ganeshotsav Mandal performed Mandap Poojan of Lalbaugcha Raja in honour of the 91st year of Ganeshotsav. Thousands of devotees come to Lalbaugcha Raja, a nearly century-old puja pandal, for one of the most revered and elaborate Ganesh celebrations in the city.
The Lalbaugcha Raja Ganesh Mandal, which is well-known for drawing millions of followers from all over the world including Bollywood actors, celebrities, and prominent politicians will reveal its magnificent idol for 2024 on September 7.
This Mandal has been in operation for more than 80 years and the Lalbaugcha Raja idol is estimated to be 12 feet tall in 2023.

Up till the Visarjan, Lalbaugcha Raja darshan will be available around-the-clock. Owing to the event’s popularity, guests are recommended to schedule their visit for either late at night or early in the morning to avoid standing in line.
The main dates for this year’s Lalbaugcha Raja celebrations have been declared by the Lalbaugcha Raja Ganesh Mandal and start date will be September 7, 2024. End date of Ganeshotsav will be September 17, 2024
The visarjan usually happens the next day, and it might happen in the early hours of September 18, because the Lalbaugcha Raja Ganesh Mandal arranges large processions throughout south Mumbai.

How to reach Lalbaugcha Raja pandal?
Mumbai Local Trains: Chinchpokli (Harbour Line) and Parel (Central Line) are the nearest train stations to Lalbaugcha Raja. A quick trip in a cab or autorickshaw will get you to the Ganesh Mandal from any station.
Western Line: If you’re going to Lalbaug by Western Line, get out at Dadar. From there, you can take a taxi or a subsequent train.
