The Kshitij Literature Festival, held from December 21 to 23 in Delhi, proved to be an extraordinary experience for literature enthusiasts
Writers and budding poets from across the country captivated the audience with their remarkable works.
Inauguration and Opening Ceremony
The festival commenced on December 21 at Aroma Hotel in Dwarka, Delhi, with Padma Shri Dr. Shovana Narayan lighting the ceremonial lamp. Organized under the guidance of Mrs. Ranjita Sahay Ashesh, founder of Kshitij Where Dreams Meet Reality, the event began on a high note. The ceremony also saw the release of 10 books, including “Fark Sirf Jazbe Ka Tha” by Mrs. Ranjita Sahay Ashesh, “17 Se 70 Soch Se Kalam Tak” by Mrs. Vimal Grover, and “Mera Ishq Faujiyana” by Mrs. Babita Nagar.
Encouraging Young Creators
The event celebrated emerging young talents with the release of the poetry collection “Azaad Parindey”, a special compilation featuring works by child authors. Additionally, the poetry collection “Kavya Kshitij” was published, showcasing the literary creations of Kshitij members and infusing fresh energy into the literary community.
Discussion on Kathak by Dr. Shovana Narayan
A discussion on Padma Shri Dr. Shovana Narayan’s book “Kathak Lok” was a key highlight of the festival. A disciple of Pandit Birju Maharaj, Dr. Narayan shared her experiences and insights into Kathak, adding grace and depth to the event.
Participation of Distinguished Personalities
Several prominent figures graced the occasion, including creative writer and editor Mr. Naveen Badhwar, who discussed his book “Hum Sab Fake Hain”. Other notable attendees included Group Captain Vivek Kamthan, Dr. Sunit Madan, and veteran poet Dr. Sheeba Kant, who enriched the event with their contributions.
Stellar Performances by Budding Poets
Dhananjay’s captivating performances, along with recitations by emerging poets, left the audience spellbound. The stage was seamlessly managed by Rakhi Singh and Priyanka Mathur, ensuring the event’s success.
Special Attractions
The first day featured the launch of a calendar and a ramp walk by KFL finalists, which became the center of attention. The celebration concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony marking six successful years of Kshitij, followed by a felicitation of all the guests.
