Antoine Griezmann has been let go off by Konami who have not taken kindly to the Barcelona player’s outlandish comments
Ever since Antoine Griezmann has made the switch to Barcelona, things have waned horrendously for him.
Waning in form despite being subjected to a colossal transfer fees, Griezmann failed to overhaul his form come Euro 2020 as well. The Frenchman was way too consistent and underwhelming with his sorry showings playing a part in his country being bundled out of the marquee coemption.
And things haven’t been any better away from the park for Griezmann. He’s only had himself to blame for the recent soup he finds himself him with his racist comments towards Asian hotel workers seeing him being dismissed as Konami’s ambassador.
Griezmann Dropped By Konami
Griezmann who was reined in by Konami for their Yu-Gh-Oh game has now been asked to pack his bags and head for the exit door. It comes in the aftermath of a video of the club’s 2019 preseason tour in Japan being leaked online recently.
The video shows Griezmann and Ousmane Dembele indulging in horrific language towards the hotel workers. The duo can be seen berating the workers who were trying to fix the television of the room so that the two Barcelona players could play PES on it.
Ousmane can be heard saying, “All these ugly faces, just so you can play PES, aren’t you ashamed?”
“Guys, are you technologically advanced in your country or not?,” he went onto add.
Griezmann who was seen having a real laugh at Dembele’s comments was not far behind. The French player was heard saying “ching chong” as he took a jibe at the Japanese language and culture.
French football stars Ousmane Dembele and Antoine Griezmann appeared to be mocking the Asian staff in their hotel in leaked footage from 2019.

Rakuten Chairman Miffed With Barcelona
The ramifications of the video have been colossal with Rakuten’s CEO, Hiroshi Mikitani lashing out at Barcelona as well. Rakuten who sponsor Barcelona saw their chairman issue a strongly worded statement, one where he spared no expense in making his ire blatantly evident towards the racist comments.
“Favouring Barcelona’s philosophy, Rakuten has sponsored the club. This kind of remark is unforgivable, and we’ll officially protest.,” Mikitani said on Twitter.
