Tadano was afraid of the attention he was receiving, yet he persisted in greeting Komi-san. That’s when he realised Komi-san couldn’t connect with him. Komi had autism and a speech issue, and she couldn’t speak at all. Tadano recognised Komi, and they were both on a romantic journey.

Komi and Tadano are enjoying their summer vacation in Chapter 409, and Komi has some guests at her house who are her high school buddies! Tadano was unable to attend the event due to a part-time work.
Later, Komi-san prepares for her university admissions interview and departs. Komi-san is quite apprehensive about the interview because she knows she can’t speak very well, but she still manages to summon the bravery to attend.
Komi-san was frustrated because the interviewers were dressed strangely and asked Komi-san strange and abstract questions.
