Team India captain Virat Kohli suffered an injury and missed the second test against South Africa before its start at Johannesburg in South Africa. Captain Virat Kohli misses out with an upper back spasm.” KL Rahul who is captaining the side after Kohli’s injury expressed hope that Kohli will be available for the third test. Hanuma Vihari, the gusty player from Andhra Pradesh who with his steely resolve in Australia saved a test match, is playing in place of Virata Kohli.

However, update on Virat Kohli’s injury is that he may not be fit enough to play the next test at Cape Town. Thus Virat Kohli will be playing his milestone 100th test only in Bengaluru in India later this year against Sri Lanka. Virat Kohli has been suffering from chronic back problems and he is often taking treatment and getting attention from the physio during the breaks while playing the matches.

Virat Kohli happens to be one of the fittest cricketers not only in India but across the world. However, at times Virat Kohli played with injuries for the team cause. Virat Kohli himself revealed that he played with the cervical spine in a test match in 2018 against South Africa. He said after two tests he couldn’t even lift his finger and later felt acidic.

Injury to Virat Kohli means he will miss out on the action if India goes on to win the test series and create history by conquering the final frontier. It is known that India has never won a test series against South Africa in South Africa. It is known that Virat Kohli made himself unavailable for the ODIs and T20s against South Africa and he will not be in action in South Africa. Virat Kohli however claimed that he made himself available for selection for the ODI and T20 series against South Africa.
