After years of being part of the highly successful quartet of friends who tasted consummate success with their show, Impractical Jokers on truTV, Joe Gatto has decided his time is finally up.
Why Is Joe Gatto Leaving The truTV Show Impractical Jokers
The massive setback comes in the wake of Joe and his wife announcing their divorce. Joe who was also a founding member of The Tenderloins has gone onto open up on how he and his wife had parted company which led to him deciding to quit the show to devote time to co-parenting their kids.
Gatto went onto write, “Sorry in advance for the long and more-serious-than-usual note below, I just wanted to let you all know that I will no longer be involved with ‘Impractical Jokers.
“Alongside my friends, I’ve devoted a decade of my life to building this franchise and couldn’t be prouder of what has been accomplished. However, due to some issues in my personal life, I have to step away. Bessy and I have decided to amicably part ways, so now I need to focus on being the best father and co-parent to our two incredible kids.”
Joe and his friends had formed The Tenderloins back in 1999 with the Impractical Jokers on air for more than 10 years. The triad of Murray, Quinn and Vulcano has meanwhile said it plans to continue to go ahead with the show despite Joe’s exit.
“While we are saddened to see him go, we want to keep making people laugh, keep our relationship working with the members of our team that we consider family,” the three said.
