Who Is Big Dwen Dwen-
Bing has been selected as the mascot for the Olympics. Bing is actually a panda and its first, Bing name means “ice,” while Dwen Dwen means “children.”
Bing Dwen Dwen’s ice suit is designed in a way that it is looked like an astronaut suit, which Beijing thought would properly demonstrate their embrace of the future and technology.
Also, there is a heart depicted on its left paw, which symbolizes Chinese hospitality.
Who Is Shuey Rhon Rhon?-
Shuey has been made the mascot for the Paralympics.
Shuey is a Chinese lantern child. Shuey’s name has the same name pronunciation as the Chinese character for snow. But the two “Rhons” in the name have completely different meanings. The first “Rhon” means “to include,” and the second “Rhon” means “to melt, fuse and warm.” After combining the whole name, it concludes with China’s desire for greater inclusion and understanding for those with disabilities.
The Chinese lantern depicts its historical symbol for the country, signifying brightness and prosperity.
