Lincoln Red Imps FC becomes the first professional club out of Gibraltar, which is a British Overseas Territory, has qualified for the inaugural UEFA Europa Conference League. Gibraltar shares its borders with Spain in the north consisting of a mere 34 thousand people.
They will also earn €3million for qualifying in the league and can even bag in more cash through bonuses and sponsorship deals. Meanwhile, they have been drawn with Feyenoord, Tottenham, and Roma who have vast experience in the European leagues.
It will be difficult for the team which is representing the interest of 34 thousand people to leave an impact on the European stage. It will be interesting to see how they perform in the third tier of European football.
Lincoln Red Imps FC qualify for the UEFA Europa Conference League
Lincoln Red Imps secured qualification in the UEFA Europa COnference League by defeating Riga of Latvia by 4-2 on aggregate.

Red Imps qualified for the Conference League after being knocked out of the Champions League and Europa League qualifying rounds. The small club from Gibraltar began their European journey by hammering CS Fola Esch of Luxembourg by 7-2 on aggregate.
In the second UEFA Champions League qualifying round, they were not so lucky and were eliminated by the Romanian Champions CFR 1907 Cluj by 4-1 on aggregate. Subsequently, they were eliminated from the Europa League qualifiers by Slovakian Champions ŠK Slovan Bratislava by 4-2 on aggregate.
This was their brave journey to the European qualifiers and will now successfully represent Gibraltar in the third tier of European football. It is the first qualification from the small country of Gibraltar in the European competition since 2014.

The small club out of Gibraltar has a market value of €10million which is one of the lowest in the European Leagues. Meanwhile, the net worth of Dylan Viagas who is the owner of the club is $5million.
