In the Hocus Pocus 2 part, the three women accidentally bring the Sanderson Sisters back to the modern-day and must figure out how to stop the witches from wreaking havoc.
How Old Are Sanderson Sisters?
Sarah Jessica Parker, who plays Sarah Sanderson, is 57 years old as of now. Better Midler, who plays Winifred Sanderson is 76 years old in 2022, and Kathy Najimy, who plays Mary Sanderson is 65 years. All three of them have reprised their roles as the three witches in Hocus Pocus 2 after starring in the original movie which was released almost three decades ago.
How Old Were Sanderson Sisters?
When the original movie was released in October in year 1993, Sarah Jessica Parker was 28 years, Better Midler was 47 years old and Kathy Najimy was just 36 years old. Speaking at the film premiere in New York, Sarah revealed that she never thought that a sequel would actually happen.
“To be completely honest, for the past 28 years, I didn’t think much about a sequel,” she said. “I wasn’t involved in the conversations. When I found out it was going to happen, I was in shock.”
The Footloose actress stated that Bette was the one who “imagined the idea for years and thought that this would all happen,” and said she “could not be deterred from the idea”.
It was around 10 years after the first Hocus Pocus movie was released that Bette began to notice the popularity of the movie’s merchandise, she also revealed on the same red carpet.
“As the years have gone by, the idea of revisiting the movie kind of snowballed. So many people have come up to me and said they rose up watching the movie,” the Beaches star stated.
