RCB has revealed that they will wear a new blue jersey instead of their classic reds to honor the frontline workers of COVID-19 in IPL 2021 UAE edition
RCB captain Virat Kohli stated during Phase 1 of the IPL 2021 that the team would support frontline employees during the pandemic and will wear a light blue uniform, which matches the colors of the PPE Kit, to honor frontline workers during the pandemic. Kohli has previously stated that his franchise would make a financial commitment to help with the medical facilities in Bengaluru and other locations around the country connected to oxygen support.
When Will Royal Challengers Bangalore Wear Their New Blue Jersey?
On September 20, RCB will take on Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in Abu Dhabi. Kohli & Company will wear a blue jersey to start their campaign in the second phase of the 14th edition to honor frontline workers for their selfless dedication to society during the Covid-19 pandemic.
On Tuesday, the franchise resorted to Twitter to confirm the news. In the past, the team wore a green jersey as part of their flagship ‘Go Green’ to promote environmental protection. The club will wear a blue jersey this year, which matches the color of the PPE outfits.
