Similarly, the acclaimed actress Kim Hieora, known for her parts in well-known K-dramas like “The Glory” and “The Uncanny Counter 2,” recently became the focus of an exhaustive investigation by the Korean media site Dispatch.
The probe was triggered by accusations made by an anonymous individual who claimed to have been a victim of bullying by the actress during their time together at Sangji Girls’ Middle School. The charges were taken seriously, and Dispatch—a publication renowned for its investigative reporting—conducted a thorough investigation.
They sought out ten witnesses who would support the accusations made against Hieora. According to the allegations, she participated in a broader bullying organization called “Big Sangji” while she was a student. The dispatch even published images from that time as proof.
Dispatch recently investigated the alleged phone chat between Kim Hieora and the bully victim.
On September 8, 2023, Dispatch made a significant revelation by disclosing a phone conversation between Kim Hieora and the alleged bully victim. According to the victim’s account, Hieora allegedly belonged to the notoriously vicious “Big Sangji” group at S Girls’ Middle School in Wonju, Gangwon.
The victim went on to describe instances of physical assault, being forced to conduct errands like buying cigarettes, and financial extortion allegedly committed by the actress while they were both students. The following is a portion of the phone call between Kim Hieora and the victim H:
On the allegations, Kim Hieora said,
I’m not denying everything
To this, victim H replied,
But you said that you didn’t hit anyone?
Hieora then added,
I didn’t hit you every single day…
Victim H went on to say,
No, you just called me to the noraebang and hit me; you called me out and hit me… you always targeted me in particular.
In order to learn more about the accusations against Kim Hieora, dispatch contacted 11 of her former high school friends. Kim Hieora apologized to all eleven of her classmates in a private message sent in May 2023. She also offered to meet with the person who had complained about her bullying, but the victim rejected her offer.

In reaction, the agency that represents Kim Hieora adamantly rejected all of the allegations, claiming that she was only a witness to the alleged incidents. In a taped phone call to the victim, “H,” Kim Hieora confessed to her guilt on September 8.
Despite her admission, Kim Hieora voiced worry that if this became known, it may hurt other people.
