On Thursday, Khelo India University Games’ third edition will be officially opened by Prime Minister Narendra Modi via video conference. This tournament will take place in Uttar Pradesh from May 25 until June 3. In 21 sports, about 4,750 athletes representing more than 200 colleges will compete.

2023 Khelo India University Games participants, venue, & detailed schedule
Around 4,000 athletes from 200 universities throughout the nation will compete in the third Khelo India University Games. All competitors, who must be under 27 years old, will compete for medals across 21 sports. It is confirmed that Olympians like Manu Bhaker and Aishwary Pratap Tomar will compete at the 2023 KIUG. Additionally, gold medalists from the ISSF World Cup Sarabjot Singh and Vijayveer Sidhu will also compete. Furthermore, reputed athletes like Diya Chitale, Malvika Bansod, Anshu Malik, & Sagar Jaglan are set to compete at the 2023 KIUG.
For the Khelo India University Games 2023, the Babu Banarasi Das University in Lucknow will be transformed into a sports village. Panjab University won the KIUG for the first time in 2020, while Jain University is the reigning champion after winning the most recent competition in Bengaluru in 2021.
