The Khelo India University Games kicked off on Saturday at the Jain Global Campus, with MG University emerging as the day’s big winners, surprising on the volleyball court and destroying the basketball court.
Due to COVID-19, the second edition of the Khelo India University Games, KIUG 2021, was postponed last year. The postponed event this year would take place in many locations in Bengaluru, Karnataka.

In all, 3,800 competitors representing 189 colleges will participate in 275 medal events encompassing 20 sports and disciplines. Yogasana and mallakhamb, two indigenous sports, will also be featured in the agenda for this edition.
Archery, badminton, basketball, boxing, fencing, football, hockey, judo, kabaddi, karate, shooting, table tennis, tennis, volleyball, weightlifting, and wrestling are among the other 18 sports.
