After seeing the editing skills of a young 19-year-old boy, Prashant Neel gave him the opportunity to prepare a trailer for the movie initially.
Ujjwal Kulkarni was asked to edit the entire film when the trailer got hit and was appreciated by the producers, director, and by the cast. The audience has also appreciated his work and many directors are now approaching Ujjawal for work. KGF 2 was screened on 14th April 2022 for the first time.
While it is still unclear how much he was paid for editing the movie, the amount is envisaged to be in the range of atleast a crore.
