Keylor Navas Threatens To Leave PSG As Gianluigi Donnarumma Transfer Looms Nearer

The side’s current shot stopper, Keylor Navas is said to be miffed by PSG for signing Gianluigi Donnarumma

Where the world of football is besotted with Italy’s Gianluigi Donnarumma after his sensational man of the match performance against England, Keylor Navas is miffed with his transfer to PSG.

For PSG, moving early for Donnarumma has turned out to be an excellent move ensuing his Euro 2020 heroics. Winning the player of the tournament after saving Jadon Sancho and Bukayo Saka’s penalties in the summit clash to win Italy the marquee trophy, Donnarumma ended up hammering his authority on the pitch.

The Paris based club will be beaming with joy at their new arrival’s performances and more so at their transfer strategy. With Donnarumma a free agent after his contract at AC Milan ran down, PSG moved quick to sign him on a five year contract.

Keylor Navas Livid With Gianluigi Donnarumma Transfer To PSG

However, Keylor Navas is far from pleased with the Ligue 1 club’s decision. With Navas currently the first choice shot stopper at the club, the old Real Madrid goal-keeper is said to have been livid with PSG’s decision to get Donnarumma on board.

Navas was so irked by competition for the role that the player was said to be on the cusp of wanting to exit the side. Despite his eagerness, a move is yet to materialise with not many clubs willing to pay the mammoth weekly wages Navas draws at PSG.

While there were reports of PSG making Navas the main goal-keeper even after Donnarumma’s arrival in a bid to appease Navas, the Italians bygone performances will make it extremely difficult for PSG to do so.

Donnarumma has not conceded more than a goal in 32 of the 33 matches he’s stepped out for the Italian side. He’s grown in stature in the last couple of years with him being integral to AC Milan’s renaissance in Serie A.

PSG will be looking to encash on his transfer as they look to build a massively impressive squad. With Donnarumma, Sergio Ramos and Achraf Hakimi all in their ranks ahead of the 2021-22 season, the side makes for lethal viewing.
