Amreen Bhat, a 35-year-old Kashmiri actress, was assassinated in a terrorist attack in the Chadoora region of central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Wednesday, May 25.

When the event occurred, she was accompanied by her 10-year-old nephew. So, as a result of this, the nephew also received gunshot wounds to his arm while Amreen was confirmed dead at the hospital. The Kashmir Police confirmed the story on their official Twitter account. They wrote,
At around 1955 hrs, terrorists fired upon one lady Amreen Bhat D/o Khazir Mohd Bhat R/o Hushroo Chadoora at her home. She was shifted to hospital in injured condition where doctors declared her dead. Her 10-year-old nephew who was also at home received bullet injury on his arm (sic).

Who Was Amreen Bhat?
Amreen Bhat was a well-known TV personality as well as a social media influencer. She was just 35 years old at the time of her death.
She was born on March 20, 1987, in Chadoora, Kashmir Valley’s Budgam district. She was a resident of Hushroo village in Budgam. The 35 year old had a height of 5 feet 5 inches and was married but her husband’s name isn’t known.
She completed her schooling in a Government Girls Higher Secondary School before enrolling at the University of Kashmir in Srinagar for graduation.
Khazir Mohammad Bhat is her father’s name, and she has two siblings including his brother, Tanveer Bhat. Apart from this, she also has one nephew named Farhan Zubair.

She was a well-known and professional Kashmiri television actress who has appeared in a number of local Kashmiri serials and plays.
