The Kartarpur Sahib Corridor is expected to see 100-200 Indian pilgrims on any given day. Indian and Pakistani authorities check the list of pilgrims on a daily basis. The route may witness an increase in foot traffic due to Guru Nanak Jayanti on November 19. The Indian government released a resolution on November 22, 2018, honouring Guru Nanak Dev’s historic 550th birthday.

As part of the celebrations, the Centre gave the heads up for the Kartarpur Sahib Corridor from Dera Baba Nanak to the International Boundary. On October 24, 2019, India and Pakistan signed an agreement on the corridor’s modalities.
