Kartar Cheema completed his schooling at the Government senior secondary school of his hometown and his further studies at Shaheed Udham Singh College, Punjabi University. He pursued BA, and a master’s in theatre and television. Kartar Cheema belongs to a Sikh family and follows Sikhism. He is fond of writing poems and loves listening to ghazals and Sufi music. Cheema has not revealed details of his parents.
