As news broke in of a calamitous helicopter crash near Coonoor in Tamil Nadu on Wednesday afternoon, Baljit Bakshi who is a retired Colonel in the Indian Army decided to once again exercise his freedom of speech to portray his deranged thoughts. As the entire country stood as one, showing solidarity and praying for the health of the first Chief of Defence Staff of India, Bakshi tweet,” Karma has its own way of dealing with people.”

While he didn’t take any names, the timing of the tweet alluded towards Bakshi talking about what he felt was justice being meted out to General Rawat. The tweet needed little time in going viral with Indians lambasting Bakshi for his deranged school of thought, one which lead to him deleting his tweet.

People have since demanded the Indian Government to stop any kind of pension to Bakshi who is a known naysayer of the incumbent Narendra Modi lead government. Bakshi has on scores of occasions gone onto tweet against the BJP and the Kisaan Andolan, conveniently staying mum on the demands of Khalistan and violence unfurled by these protesters against security personnel.

13 of the 14 people involved in the crash lost their lives including General Rawat with the Indian Air Force releasing a statement which said. “Gen Bipin Rawat, Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) was on a visit to Defence Services Staff College, Wellington (Nilgiri Hills) to address the faculty and student officers of the Staff Course today. The last rites of General Rawat will be performed in New Delhi.”
