The group debuted with four members-two ladies and two males-and released the single Oh NaNa on December 13. Unsurprisingly, their debut single was a worldwide success, and Billboard immediately included Kard on their list of the 10 Best New K-pop Groups of 2016. J.Seph
Kim Taehyung, or J.Seph, is the eldest of the Kard members and the group’s primary rapper, lead dancer, and sub-vocalist. J.Seph was born on June 21, 1992, and is symbolised by the Ace of Spades. He received five years of training at DSP Media. His Kard peers characterised him as someone who eats a lot, is witty, and compassionate (he took care of BM during his trainee years).
BM
Kard’s principal dancer, lead rapper, and sub-vocalist is Matthew Kim, called BM. On October 20, 1992, he was born in Los Angeles, California, USA. Somin
Somin is Kard’s main vocalist and visual. She was born on August 22, 1996, and is known as the group’s Black Joker card. She has previously been a member of two DSP Media groups. The first is PURETTY, which disbanded in 2014, and the second is April, which will disband in 2022. Somin can also play the piano, violin, and ocarina in addition to singing. The female K-pop idol is a distant cousin of Twice’s Jeongyeon.
Jiwoo
Jiwoo is renowned as the group’s main dancer, lead vocalist, and sub-rapper, as well as the youngest of all Kard Members. She was born on October 4, 1996, and was dealt the Color Joker card. She is also the most adaptable of the Kard members. Jiwoo can tolerate a lot of pain, as evidenced by the fact that she had eight piercings in each of her ears in one day.
