This comic just impacted me in a different way. If it had been any other crappy manga, this predicament would have created drama and caused the character to hesitate. Rintaro, on the other hand, has no notion who Satsuki is. He pretended he didn’t know who she was. It will be interesting to watch where this takes us.
I understand how Satsuki feels! It’s difficult to do things when you have social anxiety and are concerned about what people think of you. But I believe she has come out of her shell, and Satsuki may regret not reaching out to Rinarou.
Mikami Saka, the manga’s author, is cautious when it comes to crafting backstories for secondary characters. Even though the character only appears for a few chapters, she provides them with a realistic backstory that does not feel unrequited.
Rintarou may be shown leaving to see Satsuki in the upcoming chapter. He didn’t recognize Satsuki as she stretched out to him. Rintarou didn’t pay much attention to his surroundings in middle school, thus he forgot everything about that period.
However, given the mangaka’s efforts in creating a back for her, it appears she will be in the plot for some time. Rintarou might introduce her to Kaourko. Many things can happen, so we’ll have to wait and watch how Rintarou handles this scenario.
