Kano Jigoro Biography, Family And Personal Life Story
Kano Jigoro’s father was a great believer in the power of education and he gave his son excellent education. Kano Jigaro’s mother died when he was just nine years old and Kano’s father shifted with his family to Tokyo, Japan. Jigaro Kano was enrolled in a private school.
In the year 1874, Kano was sent to a private school which was run by Europeans to improve his skills in English and German language and to be more frequent in these subjects.
Kano Jigoro Death
On 4 May in the year 1938 when he was around 77 years, he passed away. The reason behind his death were his health problems and his kidneys were compounded by stones.
Kano Jigoro Professional Judo Career
Kano Jigoro was a Japanese educator and athlete, and he was also the founder/ father of the sport Judo. Judo sport was considered as one of the first Japanese martial art which gained huge international recognition and followed largely. This game is one of the first games to become an official Olympic sport.
The founder of Judo, Kano included the use of the black and white belts and he made the introduction of the dan ranking to mark the ranking of members of martial. Kano Jigoro was also a key member of the international sports association.

The Kano Jigoro accomplishments included being one of the first Asian members of the International Olympic Committee the IOC, he served from the years 1909 to 1938. He also officially represented Japan at the most Olympic Games held between the year 1912 to the year 1936 and served as a key spokesman for team Japan’s bid at the Olympics in the year 1904.

Kano Jigoro Celebrated With Google Doodle
Google Doodle recently paid tribute to Kano Jigoro, who is well known as Japan’s “Founder of Judo”. Kano formalized martial art as a sport that tends to bring people together on the principles of justice, courtesy, safety, and modesty when they throw their opponents onto the mat. According to Google, the doodle has been adorned by the Los Angeles-based artist.
Artist Cynthia Yuan Cheng celebrated the Kano Jigoro professor’s 161st birth Day.
