On, February 24, 2023, the Kannada Chalanachitra Cup’s third edition started. In this tournament, former cricket players and Kannada actors are competing. The Kadamaba Lions, Rashtrakuta Panthers, Vijayanagara Patriots, Ganga Warriors, Hoysala Eagles, and Wadiyar Chargers are the six teams that make up this league. Six matches are to be played over the course of two days amongst these teams, which have been split into two groups of three.

The KCC Season 3 kicked off in fine style on Friday in Bengaluru as Darling Krishna’s Ganga Warriors clinched a nail-biting thriller to beat Hoysala Tigers by 1 run. The Tigers then proceeded to beat Shivarajkumar’s Wodeyar Chargers all thanks to a Chris Gayle special and in the final game of the day, Dhruva Sarja’s Rashtrakuta Panthers defeated the Kadamba Lions.
In their designated 10 overs, Wodeyar Chargers got to 105 for the loss of 5 wickets with Gayle chasing down the target.
Ganga Warriors had a a promising start set by Suresh Raina’s quick 20 and Karan Arryan’s unbeaten 71 and in the allocated 10 Ganga Warriors scored 114, giving Sudeep’s team 115 runs target with Sudeep’s team losing by one run.
The Day 2 of the Karnataka Cricket Cup 2023 began with Vijayanagara Patriots taking on Kadamba Lions and in a one sided contest the Patriots won the contest by 10 wickets courtesy of a fine half century by former South Africa cricketer Herschelle Gibbs.
