UFC’s reigning champion Kamaru Usman fired back at Nate Diaz during a Twitter spat between them. Diaz had commented on Usman’s rematch with Colby Covington
On Tuesday, Nathan Diaz logged into Twitter looking for a fight and came across the 170-pounder Kamaru Usman, also known as ‘Marty’. Expressing his opinion on the yet-to-be-booked rematch between him and Colby Covington, Usman wrote “Who dis guy fighting next? Someone he already koed.” He ended the tweet with an emoji of a man facepalming. Read on to know what was Kamaru Usman’s response.

Kamaru Usman Responds To Nate Diaz On Twitter
In his tweet, Nathan Diaz was referring to a UFC 245 grudge match between Usman and Covington in December 2019. Marty had won that match via TKO with less than a minute remaining in the fight. Since then, he has knocked out several top names including Jorge Masvidal at UFC 261, to successfully defend the welterweight title three more times. Marty is apparently set to wrestle Covington again in a rematch, which is yet to be announced.
In response to Nathan’s tweet, Usman wasted no time holding himself back and sent out a challenge, despite being involved in an unfinished rivalry. He responded and told Diaz that if he wants the fight, he can call UFC executive Hunter Campbell. “I see you 209,” Usman wrote. “If you really want this 187 then call your boy Hunter.” The 209 is a reference to Diaz’s Stockton area code, and 187 is popularly known as the police code for a murder.
I see you 209. If you really want this 187 then call your boy hunter 😏

Diaz then issued a tweet and reminded Usman of his pending feud. He suggested that he’s fine with waiting for Usman to resolve his feud with Covington. “Ur locked down you do what ur told to do like a good champion,” Nate tweeted.

But Marty came back back with an even fired up tweet. He’s definitely coming for Nathan Diaz after posting the following tweet, given the confidence in his insistent tone. On the contrast, the same cannot be said for Nathan’s next response which makes him sound sheepish and intimidated in comparison. A hilarious Twitter exchange indeed!
Key word “CHAMPION” lol. All you guys just internet tough guys nowadays. Like I said if you really want this pressure then holla at your boy hunter😉
