The manga Kagurabachi Chapter 4 spoilers this chapter reveals crucial information about the sorcerers’ power structure in Kagurabachi. It also featured the first one-on-one fight of the series, with Chihiro facing off against the sorcerer in an effort to save Char.
At the beginning of this chapter, the sorcerer from the previous chapter is adamant that he must find a way to kidnap Char. Chihiro unsheathed “Kuro” and used it to cut the sorcerer’s hold on the girl loose.
Upon Chihiro’s summons, Shiba teleported to the battlefield using his magic. He teleported Char along with him to a waiting automobile. It’s safe to say the small girl was taken aback when she witnessed Shiba casting a spell. She wanted to join them, so she asked if she could use magic. Then Chihiro’s friend said that anyone could use sorcery, and that was a bombshell.

But Chihiro didn’t give up the struggle, continuing to use the magical properties of his sword. Without hesitation, he slashed everything in his path with “Kuro,” who assumed the appearance of a black goldfish. Char saw a goldfish, which Shiba explained was the form the Genryoku (Life energy) had when it was being magnified.
Life force, or Genryoku, takes on different shapes and forms for different people. For Chihiro, it manifested as a goldfish, whereas the guy who once ran after Char saw what looked like clouds. When the action returns to the battlefield in Chapter 4 of Kagurabachi, the sorcerer reveals that this is only his second time seeing an enchanted blade and his first time fighting against one.
Chihiro aimed his sword at the sorcerer and unleashed magic, which the man drank in. After he had vanquished the sorcerer, he made sure Char was all right by checking on her. Spoilers for Chapter 4 of Kagurabachi revealed that despite the fact that the small girl had no money, she and Chihiro had similar interests. To that end, he promised to watch out for Char.
