The art was quite fine with me; in fact, it prompted me to long for and consider rereading Positively Yours. The issue is that my enthusiasm for the plot is at odds with my enthusiasm for the artwork. You can take my assessment with a grain of salt because I’m only halfway through Chapter 25, but I’m finding it dull and rather ridiculous.
As a story device, the author draws ML and FL closer together through a forest retreat. It seems like a novel take on the classic romance plot device of the protagonists temporarily sharing housing due to some author-created force majeure. What happened was that, even if it’s a brilliant idea, it would come out as strange if they don’t convey it properly.
