Markieff Morris who has moved to the Miami Heat from the Los Angeles Lakers took a jibe at LeBron James and his old team
Crashing out of the playoffs after a first round postseason defeat at the hands of Western Conference champions Phoenix Suns, Los Angeles Lakers decided it was prudent to massively reshuffle their roster ahead of the 2022 season.
The side underwent massive scissoring of its setup with the exodus seeing Markieff Morris exit the land of the side. He went onto sign a one year deal with Miami Heat with the 32 year old linking up with a side which makes for impressive viewing.
Markieff Morris Unimpressed With LeBron James And The Los Angeles Lakers’ Modus Operandi
With Kyle Lowry, Jimmy Buttler and Markieff Morris under the tutelage of Erik Spoelstra, Miami Heat make for one of the pluckiest and grittiest sides in the league. Morris recently talked about the side and why he was enjoying his time with his new employers with him coming up with statements which were a clear hit out at LeBron James and the Lakers.
“I feel like we have nobody on the team like just, ‘give him the ball, and then everybody just watch and let them make the play.’ It’s a collective,” Markieff Morris said of his new team.
“We’re going to need everybody to score and rebound and defend every night. And that’s the best team to be on when you don’t have to run to the corner every play and wait for a guy to make a play for you,” he continued.
Miami Heat had taken on the Lakers in the NBA 2020 finals with the Lakers managing to emerge victorious that season.
