Ever since the Memphis Police department released the brutal beating video of Tyre Nichols, it has sent shockwaves around the world with reports claiming he was having sex with the ex-wife or girlfriend of Demetrius Haley
For those who are unversed, let us tell you, Tyre Nichols, a 29-year-old was brutally beaten by five Memphis’ police officers and the entire incident was recorded on their bodycam.
The clip which is now swirling around the internet had shown Tyre being kicked, punched in the head, pepper sprayed, tasered and repeatedly smacked with a baton by the police officers.
Ever since the video has found its way online, the social media platform Twitter has been divided into several groups, some are demanding justice while others are accusing Tyre for having a relationship with one of the police officer’s ex-wife.

Meanwhile there are many who are digging deep to find the prior criminal records under Tyre’ name as the authorities have claimed that they pulled over his vehicle for “reckless driving,” on January 7.
However, there is one rumor which is going on non-stop as many seem to believe in it. The rumor which claims that Tyre was in a relationship with one of the police officers, Demetrius Haleys’ ex.
The rumors came Into spotlight after a Twitter user claimed that “BREAKING NEWS: I am being told that Tyre Nichols was in a relationship with and worked at a Memphis @FedEx with #MemphisPolice Demetrius Haleys’ ex-girlfriend & baby mama.”
However, now these claims are found to be fake as Nichols’ stepfather came forward and denied all these allegations.
For those who are unsure, let us clear, as per a report by TMZ, Nichols wasn’t having a relationship with the ex-wife of Demetrius Haley who was involved in the brutal beating of Nichols.
As per the statement given by Tyre’s stepfather, who is addressing these rumors all over the internet, Nichols wasn’t in a relationship with the wife of Hayley.
Nichols’ stepfather, Rodney Wells, came in front and denied these scandalous allegations on Tuesday after a prayer vigil outside their home as he stated “My son was not messing around with one of the officer’s wives. That’s just a rumor.”
Many social media users are claiming without any proof that Tyre worked at FedEx in Memphis with the ex-wife of Haley and had a relationship with her.
These accusations implied that the cops were out of revenge. There are also unsubstantiated rumors that the cop in question had sent the picture of Nichols’ beating to the woman.
However, Tyre’s stepdad had simply denied these allegations. Let us remind you, it’s the first time that the Nichols family has come forward and addressed these claims.
