Late Cretaceous Pack Features

Given below is a list of the four brand new Dinosaurs that the Late Cretaceous Pack will feature with quotes taken from the official announcement:

1. Alamosaurus

With shin bones taller than the average human, Alamosaurus is one of the largest dinosaurs ever discovered! Although a herbivore, Alamosaurus’ large spines running down its shoulders, back and tail made it far from easy prey for any potential predators. This gigantic dinosaur is bound to fascinate your guests.

2. Australovenator

Thought to have lived in Australia about 95 million years ago, Australovenator was an agile carnivore with a lightweight frame that allowed it to move quickly. Its extremely sharp teeth and flexible arms made it a formidable predator adept at stalking – and chasing down – prey.

3. Barbaridactylus

Named after the Barbary Coast of North Africa where it was discovered, Barbaridactylus is a flying hunter that lived towards the end of the Late Cretaceous era. With its incredibly distinctive head crest, it’s likely to make a thrilling addition to an Aviary in any park.

4. Styxosaurus

This marine reptile is sure to make an impressive addition to any park’s Lagoon. Styxosaurus’ streamlined shape and sizeable fins made it an incredibly fast underwater predator. Don’t forget to try modifying Styxosaurus’ genome with bioluminescent pattern colours to really wow your guests!

Lagoon Customisation & Decoration

Park managers will experience a new range of customisation for their Lagoons in Update 4. The update features a list of brand new decorations which can be placed around the edges and on the bottoms of all Lagoons.

The list includes a Lagoon Fountain, Lagoon Cages, Lagoon Rocks and Lagoon Coral, amongst other decorative items.

Developers have also incorporated various features like Quality of Life updates for Lagoons, including improving the clarity of Lagoon water and viewing stand glass in order to ensure that park managers can enjoy the new decorations as much as possible.

Managers can also move the game camera into the water of Lagoons, to fully appreciate the decorative handiwork.

Behaviour Changes

Update 4 also features additions to both flying and marine reptile behaviours, which will change their behaviours within the park.

The first change that managers may realise are the changes in Capture Teams. Certain escaped flying reptiles will now attack Capture Team helicopters!

Capture Teams will now feature a condition bar, which will be impacted when under attack by a flying reptile. Once the bar runs out, the Capture Team will be destroyed, and players will need to purchase replacement teams.

Players will also see a change in how their marine reptiles behave when they’re uncomfortable. Marine reptiles will begin attacking the walls of your Lagoon when they’re unhappy, and can become injured during this process.

Dinosaur cohabitation preferences have also undergone adjustments in the new update, with developers adding relationships between both Hadrosaurid and Ceratopsids and Ornithomimosaurids and Ceratopsids.

Ceratopsids can now cohabit with other Ceratopsids, too, although there will be some exceptions to this.

Building Decorations

This latest update will allow managers with some exciting new changes on how you decorate your dinosaur park. Brand new amenity and attraction building decorations are now available.

The new decorations include several new planters and even some new fountains that managers can add to the outside of the buildings and also offer more control over your amenity and attraction’s look and feel.

Update 4 will also bring the ability to change the colour of decorative lights throughout the park, using a new Lighting tab within the Decorations panel.

This new option will showcase all the available decorations, which contain editable lights. Developers have also added a new ‘Edit Light Colour’ mode which allows players to quickly and easily paint lights across the park. The gameplay will automatically switch over to nighttime when players are doing this.

Postcards and Stamps

The new Update 4 also has a Capture Mode which will feature 6 new postcard overlays and 4 new stamp overlays. Park Managers can now share their dinosaur park in an entirely new and exciting way.

Additional Sandbox Settings

Besides the ones listed above, Update 4 will bring a number of quality of life changes in Sandbox Mode. Now park managers have an even greater freedom in designing their very own Jurassic World.

Besides redesigning Sandbox Settings to make them more readable, developers have also changed the custom settings option. The custom settings will now save between sessions, so that managers can play in whichever way they want every single time.

Update 4 also brings more sandbox options around dinosaur Traits when Gene Editing. These include the ability to create negative Traits, have infinite Traits, and have infinite Trait points. There are also new Cohabitation settings for Normal, All Like, or No Dislike too.
