He goes by Jules Olivier Kounde in full. From 2004 until 2013, he played youth football with the Fraternelle de Landiras, Cรฉrons, and La Brรจde FC teams. He played with the junior squad before joining Bordeaux in 2013. In 2016, he received a promotion to the senior team reserve or team B. Jules Kounde made his senior squad debut for Bordeaux on January 7, 2018.
On July 3, 2019, Kounde agreed to a transfer to the Spanish La Liga team Sevilla for a cost of โฌ25 million.
