What exactly happened so far?
The previous chapter starts with Yuji’s conversation with Megumi’s soul. He wanted to create a world where Tsumiki wouldn’t have to suffer. He wanted to preserve the life of them and it would be enough for him.
Yuji also talked about his grandfather, how he got cancer and the grief he went through. Back to the fight, Sukuna uses a hollow wicker basket. He was using Gojo’s method to reset the burn-out cursed technique.
The close combat battle begins once again between them with no one at the advantage for now. Then the scenario shifted towards, the small Megumi who asked why Yuji was making that sad face.
Yuji replies that it will be lonely without him. Then suddenly Sukuna’s foot gets into the shadow. His ten-shadow technique had already stopped working when Mahoraga was destroyed. He realized that Yuji had breathed new life into Megumi’s soul.
At the end of the chapter, we see Sukuna using the domain expansion as his technique has been reset. A Sukuna finger is shown in the last panel. The editor’s note says what this last finger means and we are heading towards the climax next week.
