Spoilers for today’s Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 231 confirm that the return of fistfighting as promised
In the last chapter, Sukuna used Mahoraga to place the burden of Unlimited Void on Megumi’s soul. Meanwhile, Gojo had exhausted his mental resources to the point that he could no longer cast his domain. However, Unlimited Void also damaged Sukuna, thus he couldn’t use Malevolent Shrine.
Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 231 raw scans, spoilers, summary
Spoilers for Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 231 reveal that the chapter’s title is “Inhuman Makyo Shinjuku Showdown, Part 9.” At the beginning of the chapter, Kusakabe inquires as to whether or not anyone has ever been hit by Gojo, to which the group replies that no one has ever been hit really hard by Gojo. Yuji claims that Nanami advised him not to measure his own success as a Jujutsu Sorcerer against that of Gojo.
According to Kusakabe, whenever Gojo delivers a blow, he combines the abilities of Limitless Blue with his own Cursed Energy. Both Yuta and Hakari confirm that, despite the playful nature of the strike, they later threw up. Chapter 231 of Jujutsu Kaisen takes readers back to the battlefield, where Gojo is still beating Sukuna.
Gojo vs Sukuna
He tries to stomp on Sukuna and bury him under debris, but neither of these things works. Gojo then uses his speed to make it look like multiple copies of himself are trying to punch Sukuna at once. Sukuna, however, realizes who the real Gojo is and tries to throw him away. Gojo grabs a lamppost and pulls himself upright. Gojo sees that Mahoraga’s wheel revolves once after an attack in order to adapt to it, but when its operator is employing Domain Amplification, the wheel remains permanently black because it can no longer adjust to anything. This demonstrates that, while Domain Expansion is out, other options remain on the table. Sukuna also observes that Gojo is relying on very straightforward techniques in his fight against Mahoraga.

In chapter 231 of Jujutsu Kaisen, the focus shifts back to the observers, where Hana once again wonders if Gojo has forgotten about rescuing Megumi. Although Kashimo agrees that it would be OK if he did, no one else does. Yuji understands that it is possible that Gojo has forgotten about their efforts to rescue Megumi.
