Journalist Irena Akbar gives baffling logic over murder of Shani Louk by Hamas terrorists in Israel

One day after Hamas militants stripped a German woman and displayed her deceased body on a pickup truck, former Indian Express ‘journalist’ Irena Akbar came forward in defense of the militants on the morning of Sunday, October 8th

In a tweet on X, she stated, “The woman being transported in the pickup truck has been identified as Shani Louk, a dual citizen of Germany and Israel who was reportedly attending a music festival.

“Firstly, it’s crucial to note that attacking women is not in accordance with the principles of war in Islam, and therefore, it is condemnable.”

What Else Irena Akbar Said?

Ms. Akbar expressed a token condemnation for the death of Shani Louk, solely on the grounds that ‘attacking women during warfare’ is supposedly against Islamic principles.

Subsequently, she insinuated that the victim was not fully unclothed, stating, “The woman is not entirely undressed, as parts of her upper and lower body are covered. If you review Shani Louk’s Instagram account (@shanukkk), you will find pictures of her wearing bikinis and other revealing clothing.”

She suggested that the victim might have been ‘partially undressed’ at the time of her death, but not necessarily stripped by Hamas militants. “It is plausible that she was wearing a bikini or similar attire when she was killed,” asserted the former Indian Express ‘journalist.’

“I am presenting factual information based on evidence from her own Instagram account, where she posted images of herself in such clothing. Therefore, it cannot be ruled out that Shani (with all due respect to her) was wearing a bikini or similar clothing when she was killed or captured.”

Irena further wrote, “Consequently, it is conceivable that she was NOT stripped by the Hamas militants. Nevertheless, as Islam advocates modesty for both women and men and emphasizes respect for the deceased, the militants should have covered her body with a cloth or sheet and treated it respectfully, or refrained from attacking her altogether.”

She then engaged in mental acrobatics and questioned why people who consider bikinis a symbol of ‘freedom’ are expressing concerns about seeing an uncovered female body.

The former Indian Express ‘journalist’ conveniently overlooked the fact that the victim had been murdered, stripped, and paraded by Hamas militants.

“So, let’s exercise fairness before rushing into outrage or celebration. I also have a question for non-Muslims: you often share pictures of Iranian women in bikinis on beaches before the adoption of Shariah law in 1979. You lament that women were ‘free and liberated’ in Iran before the mandatory hijab law. So, why do you take issue with the possibility that Shani Louk was wearing a bikini (when she was tragically captured)?” she boldly stated.

“Why do you object to the public viewing her nearly unclothed body? Are you once again using an uncovered woman’s body to make a point against Palestinians and Muslims?” concluded the former ‘scribe.’

Irena on COVID-19

She didn’t stop there as she furthermore asserted, “If it weren’t for Covid, Indian Muslims would have been placed in detention camps. I am NOT expressing gratitude for the virus that claimed my aunt’s life, put my father in the ICU, and brought about tragedies in countless households. I am emphasizing the fact that while fascists were devising their plans, God had His own plans.”

“It’s a dilemma for Indian Muslims, caught between the devil and the deep blue sea. They must choose between living in fear of Covid or living in fear of state violence directed at Muslims.

“At least the former does not specifically target us, and the public will eventually question the state. However, in the latter case, the public might actually celebrate it,” she added.

In February 2020, she asserted that the Muslim community should never trust Dalits.

She claimed that Dalits were the ‘foot soldiers’ during communal riots that erupted in Gujarat in 2002 after a Muslim mob instigated the Godhra train tragedy.
