John Cena said in a recent interview that he is all in to do a movie with The Rock, if ever an opportunity arose
Be it either the box office or the squared circle, John Cena and Dwayne Johnson have been two of the top performers for a very long time. While the two have met in the WWE ring for a match, they are yet to hit it off on the screen. But their fans might as well get this dream Hollywood segment, because according to John Cena it’s a yes.
John Cena And The Rock May Work Together For a Movie In The Future
During a chat with Complex, John Cena answered whether fans will see him work on-screen with The Rock much like WrestleMania 28 and 29. The following was the response the sixteen-time WWE champion gave which may open many opportunities for both the superstars.
“So, as somebody who enjoys entertainment, I think by you setting that stage I’m immediately intrigued. I feel as if that would be entertaining. There’s a lot more than my opinion to connect those dots, but I think it would be entertaining. So, I’m in,” said John Cena.
Like he said, there are many things required, more than just John Cena’s go-ahead, to connect the dots and make this happen. Not only do the creators need a story to tell but the two legends need to find some common ground within their tight schedules as well.
John Cena and The Rock’s 2021 WWE Return
While fans may see a movie coming in the future, they are still good things happening and yet to happen for both of them before that. For starters, there is a high chance that they will return to WWE this year. Rumors had it that John Cena will return in time to face Roman Reigns at Summerslam 2021.
As for The Brahma Bull, he may return at Survivor Series this year to build up a blockbuster dream match with The Big Dog at Wrestlemania 38. While John confirmed his return last Wednesday on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, the same is yet to happen for Dwayne.
