The Central Bureau of the Investigation (CBI) raided the residence of senior IAS Mr. Naveen Choudhary, who is the Principal Secretary of Agriculture Production and also at the Farmers Welfare Department.

The raids were also conducted on the premises of former officials of Chenab Valley at the Projects Construction Limited. Also, the construction company which is based in Mumbai, New Delhi, Bihar, and also in Jammu was raided.

a) An IAS officer Naveen Kumar Choudhary & officials of private company booked for alleged malpractice in award of contract of Rs 2200 crore for civil work of Kiru Hydroelectric Power project in 2019.
These all raids took place in connection with a corruption case registered through the Crime Branch Investigation on the complaint of the state Jammu and Kashmir Government.
An erstwhile Jammu and Kashmir Governor Mr. Satya Pal Malik has specifically alleged that he was offered Rs 300 crore to clear two files, which he declined before. Following Malik’s allegation, the government of Jammu and Kashmir approached the CBI for getting an investigation of the allegations.
The matter is also significant because it was raised by an erstwhile governor of the state J and K.
Who Is IAS Naveen Choudhary, His Family, Education, Professional Career
IAS Naveen Kumar Choudhary is a senior IAS officer of the state Jammu and Kashmir cadre. IAS Naveen Kumar became the first Administrative Service officer to get a certificate of being a permanent resident of the Jammu and Kashmir despite hailing from a resident outside Jammu and Kashmir. Naveen Kumar was working in the Jammu and Kashmir government for more than 15 years.
He was born in 1968, currently aged 53 years and the eldest of four brothers, and also has a sister. Naveen Choudhary had humble beginnings. Kumar received his primary education at his village school based in Majhaulia and secondary school education at Laliteshwar Madhusudan High School at Anandpur in Darbhanga.
Later for his further education, he shifted to Patna, India. Naveen graduated with a degree in economics from the Bihar National College, based in Patna at Patna University.
Unlike candidates with degrees in technical education, it was really bold for a student with a simple graduate degree in humanities to attempt and finally clear the exam to get inducted as an IAS officer.
