The 40-year-old played college basketball for the Duke Blue Devils, earning numerous individual awards. Selected 11th overall by the Orlando Magic in the 2006 NBA draft, he enjoyed a 15-season NBA career with 6 different teams.

Career

Standing 6 ft 4 in (1.93 m), Redick was a McDonald’s All-American at Cave Spring High School in Roanoke, Virginia, where he won the 2002 McDonald’s All-American Game MVP.

He set a VHSL championship-game record by scoring 43 points in the Class AAA state championship game, a record that stood until 2018.

Redick played AAU basketball with the Boo Williams team, competing against Dwyane Wade in a 1999 tournament.
