Allegations Against Jen Shah
Earlier this year, Jen Shah, 48, and her assistant Stuart Smith were taken into custody from the set of Real housewives. She is held responsible for running a nationwide telemarketing scheme, defrauding senior citizens.
Jen has been running this scheme for 10 years and has targeted people over 55. She was selling them a product with little to no value, through false marketing and money laundering.
Jen Shah Trail, Pleads Guilty
Up till now, the TV personality maintained a “not guilty” stance throughout her trial.
The trial for Jen’s case was to begin on July 18th and continue for five weeks. But, Jan presented herself in court a week earlier, on July 11th. She changed her statement pleading “guilty” to all charges and taking full responsibility for money laundering.
Shah’s lawyer Priya Chaudhry said “Ms. Shah is a good woman who crossed a line. She accepts full responsibility for her actions and deeply apologizes to all who have been harmed,” in an interview of NBC news.
Shah’s sentencing will be held on November 28th, 2022. She might get a sentence to serve up to 14 years in prison. Her net worth stands at $3 million.
