However, there is one element that is covered briefly in the series and that is Dahmer’s education which has left viewers wondering exactly where the serial killer went to school and college.
Here, today we’re going to discuss this question in detail. So, Let’s start.
Speaking about Jeffrey’s school education, the serial killer attended Revere High School in Bath Township near Richfield, Ohio.
Jeffrey attended the school during the 1970s and graduated as part of the class in 1978. One of Jeffrey’s classmates, John โDerfโ Backderf wrote a graphic novel titled “My Friend Dahmer.”
The graphic novel detailed their friendship and experiences together at school.
Coming back to Dahmer’s school, Revere High School was first opened to students in January 1953.
Recently in 2015, the school was named as one of the top 1,000 schools in the United States by the US News & World Report.
In 2020, Revere High’s students moved into a new building as the old facility had grown quite old and had started to become dilapidated.
The cost of the construction of a new building was deemed lower than refurbishing the existing facility.
Speaking about Jeffrey’s college, the Milwaukee’s Cannibal had briefly studied at Ohio State University.
Ohio State University is regarded as one of the most prestigious colleges in the US and its notable former students include athlete Jesse Owens, actor J.K. Simmons, Twenty One Pilots singer Tyler Joseph and Wikipedia co-founder Larry Sanger.
However, Dahmer completed just 3 months at Ohio State University before dropping out. Later, Jeffrey’s father persuaded him to join the US Army but he was eventually discharged after 2 years.

However he was seen as quiet and polite by the Staff but would also stage pranks, which later became known as “doing a Dahmer.”
Dahmer also briefly played the clarinet in class’ band and was reportedly an accomplished tennis player.
However, as per report, Jeffrey would drink alcohol at school and would smuggle in beer and hard liquor by hiding it inside the lining of his jacket.
Throughout his school time at Revere, his grades remained average until 1977 when his drinking spun out of control.
He graduated from school in 1978 and committed his first murder just weeks after leaving his school.
In Aug 1978, he enrolled at Ohio State University in business major. But the serial killer only stayed there for 3 months before dropping out.
His time at college was reportedly unproductive because of his persistent alcohol abuse while his GPA before dropping out was 0.45/4.0.
