It seems that the Celtics players are also keeping all information about the situation secret.
What Did Jayson Tatum Say About Ime Udoka Controversy?
Jayson Tatum said, “Like everyone else, I found out about Udoka’s allegedly inappropriate relationship with a female Celtics staff member on Twitter.”
Jaylen Brown kept saying that he couldn’t say anything authoritative about Ime Udoka. Because he doesn’t know anything more than the rest of the public.
“I wish we had more details,” Brown told reporters at Celtics Media Day on Monday. “From what we know, it’s hard to make a decision based upon whether it’s consensual or not in the workplace or whatever’s going on. Which we know has happened before in the workplace. But I guess there’s more to it possibly, which we don’t know.”

Brown And Tatum Said That They Hadn’t Talked To Ime Udoka Since He Was Suspended
“It’s been hell for us,” Marcus Smart said. “Nobody really knows anything. We’re just in the wind, like everybody else. The last couple of days have been confusing.”
Last season, Ime Udoka, who is 45 years old, led Boston to the NBA Finals. He was set to lead a strong Eastern Conference team that now includes Malcolm Brogdon. After hearing about the relationship, the Celtics suspended Udoka for the whole season last week. Neither majority owner Wyc Grousbeck nor president of basketball operations Brad Stevens would say more about it.
Celtic Players Are Confused Over The Punishment
Grousbeck said that the punishment to Ime Udoka was “justified,”. But Celtics players said they didn’t know enough to say whether they agreed or disagreed.
“I felt like everybody else. It’s a lot to process, unexpected,” Tatum told reporters. “Especially coming into this season and you feel a certain way — coming off last year that you’re excited and trying to do all these things. … You’re still trying to process it all knowing we start practice [Tuesday].”
Brown said that when he heard, he was “shocked.”
