Jasprit Bumrah hilariously turned up to the pitch in the wrong team India jersey rather than the official WTC final jersey
Despite being in an arduous state in the World Test Championship, the Indian cricket team finally found a moment to rejoice and cherish in.
The bemusing incident occurred at the start of play on day of the WTC final between India and New Zealand. Bumrah who started the day was spotted wearing India’s regular test jersey rather than the official WTC final jersey.

The speedster’s mistake was brought to notice ensuing his over after which Bumrah was seen rushing back into the dressing room to swap shirts. The moment offered some much needed comic relief to Bumrah who endured an otherwise gruelling day on the pitch.

Bumrah ended up as India’s only bowler who went wicketless in New Zealand’s first innings. The quick was unusually off the boil, failing to extract the conditions and work his typical magic on the ball.
Devoid of his lethal wicket taking ability at crucial junctures, India found themselves chasing the showpiece summit clash. Despite rattling New Zealand prior to tea on day 5 as they snagged three wickets for 18 runs, the Indian side as has become customary for them allowed New Zealand’s bowlers to score crucial runs.
