A former basketball player, James Edward Frost II of University of Missouri reportedly shot his estranged wife Beth Ellen Frost, before shooting himself in a murder-suicide

As per the statement given by Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins, the player who’s now identified as James Edward Frost II had played during the 1990s for his college, shot his wife Beth Ellen Frost to death alongside another employee of Dallas Medical Examinerโ€™s office.

As per a report by Dallas Morning News, the couple was found dead at the office at somewhere around 4:45 PM on Tuesday, November 8.

The other victim, who’s an employee of the office, was injured in the incident. However his present condition and identity is unknown.

As per reports the two were married in July 2001 and shared 2 kids. According to court’s documents, Beth filed for separation back on May 2 this year.

She quoted that their marriage became, “insupportable because of discord or conflict of personalities between Beth and Jed that destroys the legitimate ends of the marriage relationship and prevents any reasonable expectation of reconciliation.”

Although when Beth initially filed for separation he didn’t request for custody of children, however in early October, this year, she ordered for child custody evaluation.

According to her LinkedIn profile, Beth received a degree in osteopathic in 2012 from Kansas City University. She became the Medical Examiner of Dallas office in June 2020.

As per her profile, she was working in the office as a Forensic Pathologist from 2016 to 2017.

Meanwhile, her estranged husband was working as a teacher before joining the position of basketball coach at Odessa and Park Hill South High Schools near Kansas City.

He is also known for being the coach of Iowa State University and the University of Hawaii. James, who is also known as “Jed,” has reportedly launched a leather bag business titled FROST.

His products ranged from $5,000 to $75,000. As per James’ father, who filed a lawsuit against them while claiming that they owed him $228,916 for several loans that he gave them to cover their living expenses, the two were struggling against Financial problems.

James’ father, James Frost Sr revealed in a statement that the two bought properties including one house back in 2006 and another house in 2010 from the amount he gave them.

As per his father, the couple have paid back approximately $75,000 however both were “fully aware” that they have to pay the rest.

Frost Sr. claimed that the couple refused to pay the remaining amount after he asked them. However, all these accusations were denied by Beth in a recent court filing.

Meanwhile, Jed reportedly paid a sum of $12,000 to the Bank of America earlier this year. He was sued by the State Farm Federal Credit Union for a loan amount of $50,000, which he denied owing.

According to the statement given by the County Commissioner, John Wiley Price, the authorities are still investigating the matter about how Jed entered the building.

He stated in a statement given to Fox 4 News that, “You can have the best security in the world, and you canโ€™t stop people who are determined whatever evil they are going to carry out.โ€
