Despite several Twitter rumors floating around about a cancellation, Jake Paul confirmed on Friday that the grudge fight between him and British boxer Tommy Fury is officially on.

The pair will fight on February 26, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with ESPN+ airing the fight as a pay-per-view, with a $49.99 fight card.

A long-awaited fight

The Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury fight has been a long-awaited fight with so many delays until now. Fury (8-0) was initially supposed to face the problem child back in December 2021. However, he had to withdraw from the bout following a nasty rib injury. As a result, Jake Paul had to go up against Tyron Woodley for the second time.

Later in 2022, Paul (6-0) and the younger Fury were set to fight again on August 6, 2022. However, due to Tyson Fury’s involvement with the Irish Cartel leader, TNT was denied US entry. This resulted in yet another cancellation of the longstanding bout.

Meanwhile, his opponent, the Brit Tommy Fury, will bag a $2M guaranteed purse. The younger Fury has a 35% PPV share, which means that he will receive around $4.5M. This is still a lofty amount, and notably the biggest payday till date for TNT.

Besides the guaranteed purse and PPV share, the winner for the fight will also walk home with an additional $1 million as a performance bonus.
