Bengaluru 18th Sep 2025: In a landmark achievement that underscores its commitment to excellence in engineering education, students from the Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET) at Jain (Deemed-to-be University) have secured first place at the national Robowars championship
The event was a cornerstone of Mindbend 2025, the prestigious annual technical festival hosted by Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), Surat.
The winning team, Knockbots, comprising dedicated students Luvkush Sharma, Sahan Veeresh Angadi, Ayush Kumar from the university, triumphed after a series of intense and technically demanding battles against top-tier teams from across India. Robowars is a premier combat robotics competition that challenges participants to design, build, and operate heavyweight robots capable of withstanding and delivering powerful attacks in a specialized arena. The victory by Team Knockbots is a testament to their exceptional skill in robotics, mechanical design, and strategic execution.
This national win marks a significant milestone for Jain (Deemed-to-be University), highlighting the practical, application-oriented learning environment fostered within its FET programs. It demonstrates the university’s capability to nurture talent that can compete and excel on a highly competitive national platform, alongside students from premier institutes of technology. The event was further distinguished by the presence of Mr. Ashneer Grover, Founder of BharatPe and a noted investor from Shark Tank India, who engaged with participants and commended the high level of innovation and engineering prowess on display.
