Sergiy Derevyanchenko is expected to earn $400,000 from this bout on Saturday, while Jaime Munguia will receive a guaranteed minimum of $750,000. Although PPV details aren’t revealed yet, it is expected that the net payout of both boxers will increase significantly. Additionally it is known that Sergiy will earn nearly 45% of the PPV revenue.

As Derevyanchenko pursued Munguia in the sixth and seventh round, the fight’s pace slowed down. Munguia made an effort to counter, however, particularly by hooking Derevyanchenko in the head and body. Both of their left hooks to the head were successful, but Derevyanchenko’s left was more potent and rattled Munguia. After landing a few right hands, Munguia appeared to be stunned by a series of Derevyanchenko combinations in the eighth round.
Munguia upped the quantity of his punches after noticing he was trailing going into the championship rounds. In the eleventh round, he caught Derevyanchenko with a right cross. In the final round, Munguia scored a decisive knockdown when Derevyanchenko was brought to his knees by a well-placed left hook to the body. Despite Munguia’s repeated attempts to attack Derevyanchenko’s body, Munguia was able to beat the count and survive defeat through KO.
